About the role - you will:

 

We are seeking a Learning and Development Generalist to design, develop, and deliver Learning, Development and Performance programs that enhance the skills and knowledge of our employees. The successful candidate will be responsible for collaborating with various departments to identify training needs, creating engaging learning experiences, delivering training sessions, and evaluating program effectiveness. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in adult learning principles, instructional design, excellent communication and facilitation skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

 

You Will:

•    Design innovative talent development solutions including manager, employee and leader development, performance feedback, employee events / engagement, culture and internal communications
      o    Consult with business groups and their HR business partners to understand organizational performance goals, identify skills gaps and recommend customized learning solutions.
      o    Deliver effective, engaging learning and development programs and experiences that delight employees and achieve measurable learning outcomes.
      o    Use instructional design and learning experience to design systematic processes to develop engaging learner experiences.
      o    Recommend, curate and author content, sequence, and use a systems approach to suit situation and learners including face-to-face and virtual instruction, micro-learning, eLearning, podcast, social, print, and video.
      o    Use Seagate’s existing learning and collaboration tools and platforms to develop simple, intuitive, and engaging learner user interfaces and content.
•    Manage programs:
      o    Lead Global Training Programs: Drive the end-to-end rollout of global training initiatives, ensuring they align with the organization's objectives and strategic priorities. Coordinate with international teams to adapt and implement programs across diverse cultural contexts.
      o    Logistics Management: Manage all aspects of program logistics, including scheduling, resource allocation, budgeting, and vendor management. Ensure the seamless execution of training activities, from planning through to implementation and follow-up.
      o    Use data and analytics to understand learner behavior and drive continuous improvement in our learning solutions.
      o    Develop internal marketing written communications and presentations for a wide range of stakeholders to drive increased learning adoption. 
•    Serve as internal Subject Matter Expert regarding talent development best practices as well as current trends and innovative new tools / methods.
•    Keep current on new learning approaches, technologies and tools through research and networking to ensure our solutions are innovative.
•    Program Evaluation: Design and implement robust evaluation mechanisms to assess the effectiveness and impact of learning initiatives. Utilize After Action Reviews (AAR) and other evaluation tools to gather feedback, make informed decisions, and continually refine training strategies based on data-driven insights.

Your experience includes:

 

•    Exposure to various aspects of global Talent Development program design and execution
•    Previous project/program management 
•    Successfully managing multiple work streams with multiple clients 
•    Solid understanding and proven application of adult learning principles, practices and procedures of instructional design for digital modalities and user experience design
•    Working in a global environment with diverse and remote team members
•    Designing instruction for classroom and digital delivery, either synchronous or asynchronous, preferably in global technology companies
•    Collaborating with HR professionals and internal stakeholders to design innovative and engaging learning experiences.
•    Facilitating in-person and virtual classroom classes for managers and employees
•    Bachelor’s degree and/or relevant experience

 

Your Experience May Also Include:


•    Familiarity with agile methodologies and design-thinking practices 
•    Strong analytical skills; familiarity with user research methodologies
•    Familiarity with SAP/SuccessFactors Platform

 

Qualifications:


•    Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Education, or a related field.
•    3-5 years of experience in learning and development or a similar role.
•    Strong understanding of adult learning principles and instructional design.
•    Excellent presentation and facilitation skills.
•    Understanding of Learning Management Systems (LMS) and e-learning software.
•    Strong project management and organizational skills.
•    Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams.
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
•    Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.

 

Preferred Qualifications:


•    Master’s degree in human resources, Education, or a related field.
•    Certification in training and development (e.g., CPLP, CPTM).
•    Experience with virtual training platforms and tools.
•    Experience with video production and editing software.

 

Working Conditions:


•    Office environment with occasional travel for training sessions or conferences.
•    Ability to work flexible hours as needed.
